Job Description and DutiesUnder the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Chief, Chronic Disease Operations Section, the Health Program Specialist II (HPS II) will function as a highly skilled expert in electronic pathology reporting, including overall regulations and standards as detailed in HSC 103885 as per amendments mandated by Senate Bill 344 (2023). The HPS II will be responsible for developing a comprehensive regulatory package to define and implement new compliance standards in support of electronic pathology requirements, provide overall management of compliance requirements once implemented, such as planning, implementing, and promoting communication and overall education of regulatory changes for compliance standards; review, approve, and contribute to communication methods to pathologists and stakeholders about data quality; and participate in preparation of technical content for reports and correspondence budget requests to assist in data quality and operational efforts. The HPS II supports overall consistency of SB 344 implementation and ongoing requirements across CCR stakeholders and pathologists
