About our Clinic: Petersen Pet Hospital is a full-service, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital located in Hiawatha, Iowa, a suburb of Cedar Rapids. Our 9500 sq ft, state-of-the-art facility (winner of the Iowa Merit Award in the DVM360 Hospital Design contest in 2019) is fully equipped with all the bells and whistles, including laparoscopic tools, EKG, digital radiology, ultrasound, laser technology, and an in-house lab.

Led by Dr. Petersen and Dr. Saunders, our veterinarians are backed by a highly skilled team that is enthusiastic about veterinary medicine and works hard to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable environment. 

Hours of Operation: Our practice is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday, 8 am to 12 pm, and closed Sunday. There are no on-call responsibilities since several referral/emergency locations are nearby.
