The University of Toledo (UToledo) invites nominations, inquiries, and applications for the role of Executive Vice President for Health Affairs (EVPHA) and Chief Executive Officer of UToledo Health.
As a newly structured role, the EVPHA will drive strategic growth across the university's healthcare enterprise and further collaboration between the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC), University of Toledo Physicians (UTP), and University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (UTCOMLS).
Formed in 2023, UToledo Health is the only university health system in the region. UToledo Health includes a 319 licensed bed, tertiary and Level 2 Trauma medical center, employed faculty group practice with nearly 500 providers, and a combined operating revenue of more than $565 million. Since 1964, UToledo Health's providers and medical center have offered the highest level of healthcare to northwest Ohio. The EVPHA will come at an exciting time of growth and integration for the University's clinical enterprise. The successful candidate will be an experienced, talented executive who deeply values the academic mission. Candidates should possess at least 15 years' experience in progressive leadership roles in a complex, multi-facility organization with a significant commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and/or research. Although prior CEO experience is strongly preferred, COOs, CMOs, service line or regional leadership of large multi-hospital health systems, hospitals or faculty practice plans/groups, and others with significant leadership roles in academic medical centers will also be considered. An MD/DO degree is preferred, although non physician executives with exceptional experience will also be considered.
