The Nuclear Science Division (NSD) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) invites applications for a career Nuclear Data Scientific Engineer position from scientists and/or engineers with a record of substantial accomplishments in nuclear data research and program development.
The mission of the LBNL-UCB Nuclear Data Group is to address the nuclear data needs of the applied and basic nuclear science community while training the next generation of nuclear scientists and engineers in the process. The successful candidate will take on significant responsibilities in the development of new applied and basic nuclear science programs within the Nuclear Data Group, particularly with regards to neutron-induced nuclear reaction data. They will also provide a supporting role in the training of students and postdoctoral researchers and share in the scientific administrative requirements of the group, including compiling quarterly reports, and will contribute to the high safety standards and practices in the group.
