About the Role: As the Director of Finance, you will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and work closely with the Chair of the Department. You will be a key player in managing and resolving financial matters for our faculty, institutions, and various UCLA departments. Your responsibilities will include preparing annual budgets, monitoring budget variances, and generating critical financial reports that drive our decision-making processes. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Chair, CAO, and the School of Medicine to implement and maintain sound fiscal policies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the Department’s operations, including the Doheny Eye Centers across Pasadena, Arcadia, and Orange Coast. The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is $$124,600 to $289,400 with a target range of $180,000-$186,000..
