The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) works with our local and tribal public health partners, and community groups statewide, on a wide variety of programs and services that protect the health of Wisconsin residents. DPH is recruiting for a Public Health Nursing Consultant in the Office of Policy and Practice Alignment (OPPA). This position offers the option to work remotely up to 5 days per week and will be headquartered at one of the DPH central or regional offices in Madison, Green Bay, or Milwaukee. The schedule may vary based on training or operational need. Statewide travel and overnight stays may be required approximately 15% of the time. As the Public Health Nursing Consultant, you will provide nursing leadership for public health system efforts that ensure consistent and accountable public health services, develop public health system capacity, link public health system partners' work, and prepare for, monitor, and respond to statewide and regional issues and emergencies. *Eligible is defined as your license is currently in process with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, or you currently hold a license in another state and are eligible to obtain a license in the State of Wisconsin.
