We are in search of Reporting Accountants to join our team in the Finance-Sponsored Programs office. This is an exciting opportunity for business majors interested in not-for-profit and governmental accounting. The Reporting Area of Sponsored Programs prepares approximately 9,000 reports annually while ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines. Employees in this role will gain experience preparing income statements, training in fund accounting, and understanding of the University financial systems. You will be responsible for post-award accounting of grants and contracts. You will provide procedure interpretation to university departments and help prepare reports to federal and sponsoring agencies. You will inactivate sponsored projects to maintain a positive cash position.
This is a full-time 40 hour work week position, Monday through Friday.
