Job Summary The Department of Epidemiology, at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, studies the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in humans, a fundamental science of public health. In addition to pursuing ground-breaking global research initiatives, we educate and prepare future medical leaders and practitioners as part of our mission to ignite positive changes in the quality of health across the world.The CAUSALab is a Center in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The Center uses data to investigate what works in medicine, public health, and policy. By combining sound methodology with high-quality data, the CAUSALab produces actionable causal inference with real-world impact. The Center also offers training on a methodological framework for causal inference research based on observational health databases (e.g., administrative claims, electronic health records, biobanks) and pragmatic randomized trials. The areas of work include infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, mental health, and pregnancy. To learn more about the CAUSALab, please visit: https://causalab.sph.harvard.edu/ Position Description The Program Assistant will support CAUSALab by conducting complex administrative, programmatic, and research support duties. Reporting to Joanna Michalski, Assistant Director of Projects & Operations at CAUSALab, and working in close collaboration with Dr. Miguel Hernan, the Director of CAUSALab.The Program Assistant will also provide administrative and financial support for two Center faculty members, including the Director and will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties to ensure smooth daily operations and effective administration of the Center. This position will require multi-tasking, providing accurate and timely results with attention to detail, and prioritizing and managing competing deadlines.
