Stanford University Department of Genetics, School of Medicine is seeking an Accountant 2 to perform a variety accounting functions. The accountant is responsible for the administration of the full range of pre & post award accounting functions for a large number of complex sponsored and non-sponsored research grants, contracts, sub-awards, training grants (including Multi-department accounts), operating budget, fellowships, cost share accounts and fund accounts for multiple faculty. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must present demonstrated financial skills including expert knowledge of grant and contract accounting principles and procedures, University polices, sponsor regulations; thorough knowledge of relevant governmental accounting laws, rules and regulations; experience with the use of Stanford's Oracle Financial System, PeopleSoft, Graduate Financial System and OBI reporting. Duties include:

Excellent communicator (written and verbal). EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree plus four years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience. The expected pay range for this position is $71,000 to $115,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
