Position Title:Postdoc - Plant Genetics and GenomicsAppointment Type:Post Doc/TraineeJob Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:The laboratories of Dr. Hongqing Guo and Dr. Yanhai Yin, in the Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology at Iowa State University, are looking for two self-motivated postdocs to join their research groups. The postdocs will perform genetic, genomic, molecular, biochemical and cell biological studies to understand the regulation of plant growth and stress responses by FERONIA receptor kinase and/or plant hormone brassinosteroid signaling pathway in Arabidopsis. The postdocs will also help supervise graduate and undergraduate students, write manuscripts, and perform other related duties in the research laboratories. The initial appointments will be for one year with opportunity for renewal. Required Minimum Qualifications:Ph.D. in Plant Biology or closely related field Preferred Qualifications:Experience with plant genetics and molecular biology using model plants such as Arabidopsis, rice and maize. Experience with plant genomic studies including data analysis (such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT & RUN). Evidence of research productivities, including high-quality publications. Evidence of teamwork and willingness to collaborate with others. Less than three years of prior postdoc experience.
