Available Title(s): 1250-NN_ADMINPRO - Scientific Laboratory Manager Business Title: Tree Fruit IPM Laboratory Manager Employee Type: Admin. Professional (+) (Fixed Term) Position Details: Summary of Duties: Manage lab operations for the WSU Entomology Tree Fruit Entomology and IPM Program, based in Wenatchee. The lab manager will work closely with faculty, students, and hourly workers to ensure smooth operations and experimental success. The lab manager will assist and/or lead in data collection, sample processing, data management, and space use. The incumbent will also assist in inventory control, purchasing supplies and equipment, shipment and receiving of materials/samples, and oversight of scheduling and assigning tasks to hourly workers in the Tree Fruit Entomology and IPM lab. The successful candidate will be organized, have knowledge and experience maintaining rigor in scientific experimental protocol, and communicate clearly and effectively to support a high-quality research program. They will provide training and guidance for graduate and undergrads working on various projects that involve the use of equipment and materials in the Tree Fruit Entomology and IPM lab.
