| Additional Information About the Role We are looking for a Sterile Compounding Float Tech to join our experienced team at Missouri Baptist!
In this role, you will float to provide coverage to our main IV room, cancer center and OR. This position provides the opportunity to advance your compounding skills in various areas with multiple pharmacy professionals. If you have hospital/clinical and sterile compounding experience, we would love to hear from you!
PTCB certified and at least 2 years of experience required.
Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The Inpatient Pharmacy at Missouri Baptist Medical Center consists of a Central Pharmacy including an ISO Class 5 Clean Room for sterile product preparation and satellite pharmacies in the Operating Room, the Cancer/Infusion Center, and satellites or decentralized pharmacists on several inpatient floors. The pharmacy department supports robust Medication Therapy Services for inventory management and Pyxis ES for decentral medication storage, an electronic medical record, and smart pump technology with dose error reduction software. The Pharmacy program at MoBap also administers an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency program. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 3, under the direct supervision a of staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, provides cross coverage for multiple technician competencies or responsibilities within a focus area. This position serves as a department resource to answer questions and assists in resolving more complex issues. This position's responsibilities may include preparing medication orders, assisting in dispensing and transporting medications, conducting complex sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, inventory management, training, the use of various automated/electronic systems, and maintaining the required documentation & records.
