Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Position Summary: We seek energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love teaching and share our dedication to excellence in undergraduate education. The successful applicant will join a close-knit program and school that offers bachelor’s degrees across a broad spectrum of disciplines in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, including computer science. Responsibilities include teaching mathematics courses across the curriculum, working with other faculty to continually maintain and update courses, advising students, and engaging with the broader university. Faculty teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Although we are primarily an institution focused on teaching excellence, faculty are also expected to remain connected to their academic field through scholarly or creative work (for a tenure-track position) or professional development (for a non-tenure-track position) and contribute in the area of service. Start Date: The position is available to start January 13, 2025. Mission of the Department The School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) prepares students to be scholars and professionals in their discipline by fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking that promotes lifelong learning and problem-solving skills. Salary and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50,590 - $53,760 commensurate with experience and education. The salary range reflects a minimum for an entry level Lecturer or Assistant professor position to a maximum for an experienced Lecturer or Assistant Professor position.
