Position Summary

Job Description

• Works with Principal Investigator to compile and submit the entire grant according to established agency/university guidelines. Prepare and review all agency forms for submission. Enter grant budgeting documents online.
• Carefully review proposal documentation against RFP/RFA requirements, making corrections as needed and upload materials to sponsor submission systems (e.g., grants.gov, research.gov, private sponsor platforms).
• Assists PI with obtaining potential grant applications/ instructions.
• Works closely with the grants office to ensure that all funds are set up in a timely manner; prepares any necessary project advances and no-cost extensions.
• Work directly with faculty and research teams to iteratively develop budgets and associated budget narratives.
• Troubleshoot the errors of moderate complexity in grant profile setups.
• Coordinates the necessary support with internal and external requests for grant-related information (i.e. current biosketches, trainee information, human/animal protocol approvals and other support).
• Works with OSRS to ensure timely implementation of contracts and subcontracts by examining and supplying the necessary requirements to OSRS.
• Coordinate transfer of PI grants from other institutions to Wash U
• Maintain accurate proposal documentation in shared drive folders. 
• May occasionally support post-award activities for principal investigators
• Attends training sessions/seminars related to position.
• Assists senior leadership with special projects as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
