Your Day As A Controller: As the Controller, you will be a key contributor to Wolverine's financial health and strategy. You will oversee the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, while ensuring all reports are filed on time. You'll provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team to maintain accuracy and efficiency. In this role, you'll also strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets, assist with the annual audit, and manage tax reporting. Your expertise will drive special financial analyses, offering valuable insights to senior management and the Board of Directors on critical financial decisions. Additionally, you'll review contracts, assess financial risks, and recommend improvements to protect Wolverine's interests. What Are We Looking For? We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and 8-10 years of senior-level accounting experience. A CPA certification is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, along with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively at all levels. You should have a proven track record of working in team-oriented environments and demonstrate expertise in interpreting contracts, regulatory orders, and industry standards. A solid understanding of GAAP, financial systems, and corporate finance is essential.
