Learn more about the UC Office of the President Capital Programs provides systemwide leadership and campus support in the following areas: housing, capital budget strategy, policy and program recommendations to the Regents and the State of California; capital project design and delivery strategies, contract development and training; design professional selections; building/safety code and regulatory issues; land use and site planning, long-range development plans, CEQA compliance, and environmental documents; sustainability; and real estate transactions. Department Overview Capital Programs provides systemwide leadership and campus support in the following areas: housing, capital budget strategy, policy and program recommendations to the Regents and the State of California; capital project design and delivery strategies, contract development and training; design professional selections; building/safety code and regulatory issues; land use and site planning, long-range development plans, CEQA compliance, and environmental documents; sustainability; and real estate transactions. Position Summary Affordable student housing is an important component of the University's ability to offer high-quality education and residential life experience. Campus housing is also important in addressing the University's sustainability goals and long-range enrollment planning targets. Enrollment growth over the last decade has made it challenging for the University to provide enough affordable student housing to meet student demand. The high price of housing in California makes the University's faculty and staff recruitment and retention efforts challenging. To help facilitate this effort, the University has prioritized increasing the available faculty and staff housing units. Under the general direction of the Director of Capital Planning, the Housing Project and Policy Analyst provides analytical support on a variety of policies, projects, programs, and issues related to housing and related support needs. This position serves as UC Finance Division's primary subject matter expert for student, faculty, and staff housing; collects relevant data and information; participates in policy and program planning and development; encourages systemwide leadership and coordination; develops and promotes housing policies; and convenes systemwide work groups. Additionally, this provides support for housing-related special ad hoc assignments, including but not limited to, dining, basic needs, capital planning, real estate services, and financial aid. This is a hybrid work position, with current UCOP expectations to work in Oakland on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Work from home within the State of California is an option for Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Job Title Project Policy Analyst 3 Job Code 007398 Salary Grade Grade 21 Payscale: $84,000 - $97,400 Full Salary Range: $67,000 - $119,200 The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position and the pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
