Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital has been serving our neighbors in Clarendon, Lee and Sumter counties since 1913, delivering compassionate, high-quality, safe care. Our full-service community hospital specializes in several inpatient and outpatient services – including cancer, cardiac catheterization, OB/GYN, outpatient and short-stay surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, robotic-assisted surgery and wound care. Plus, our surrounding campus houses many practices and specialty programs. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for administering a designated number of patient care units, services or programs within a product line. Utilizes clinical and managerial expertise to develop, implement and evaluate effective patient care delivery systems for assigned units or services. Accountable for the delivery of quality patient care services, customer satisfaction (including patients, physicians, and employees) and financial results within areas of responsibility. The position encompasses, but is not limited to, area-specific and departmental-wide administration (with system alignment as appropriate) management, collaboration, education and research. Performs a variety of nursing leadership activities within and outside of Prisma Health.

Minimum Requirements MSN or master's degree in related field required. MSN preferred. BSN required if master’s degree is not an MSN. 5 years - Five (5) years nursing experience including progressive clinical management experience. Related clinical experience preferred. Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Certification in area of nursing specialty - Preferred. Academic medical center and/or large hospital system experience - Preferred. Director level experience – Preferred
In Lieu of In lieu of the master's degree requirement above, a BSN or bachelor’s degree may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreeing to enroll in an accredited applicable master's degree program within one year and obtain the master's degree within two years.
In lieu of bachelor's degree or master's degree requirements, will accept DNP or PhD in Nursing. |
