Assistant Director Hospitality Services – Dining Services and Business Operations

Provides leadership, guidance, and assistance related to the operations of the Knight Center, including conference planning and execution, hotel operations, and dining operations within the Knight Center facilities. Serves as a key point of contact for escalation, issue resolution, and a liaison for internal service providers. Models and fosters behavior that establishes and promotes a customer-centric mindset and a collaborative work environment. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external service providers, vendors, and stakeholders. Establishes expectations, standards, and accountability for the provision of services at the Knight Center. Ensures all services provided prioritize an exceptional customer experience. Serves as a member of the Hospitality Services leadership team, assisting with the development and execution of policies and strategies to support the broader concept and alignment of Hospitality Sales and Services at WashU. Represents the needs of the Knight Center customers and staff, while ensuring that the Knight Center operates in tandem with other service providers. Tracks, monitors, and reports on KPI’s, operational metrics, and customer feedback related to customer service, service delivery, facilities, and related services. Uses data to drive operational decisions and address quality concerns. Provides leadership and collaborative management with Olin School of Business to ensure facilities are well-kept and aligned with the expectations of University Services. Coordinates and facilitates the evaluation of campus facilities utilized for events, camps, and conferences - identifying and prioritizing potential opportunities for updates and renovations. Collaborates with Facilities Planning and Management to ensure projects are well managed and minimize the impact on Knight Center operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
