Job OverviewAs one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Ohio is offering a full-time Cardiothoracic Radiology Faculty position in the Department of Radiology. This position will support the University?s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Our affiliated University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and other UC Health facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art radiography, CT, and MR equipment, and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. Home workstation equipment is provided. UCMC provides an excellent working environment. The Radiology Cardiothoracic section has a close working relationship and interacts with expert cardiologists, pulmonologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and subspecialists in other fields of medicine. Interdisciplinary conferences encompass a broad spectrum of comprehensive structural heart programs, lung programs, including interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, lung cancer screening, and general pulmonary pathology. A full medical 3D printing service supports our section, and our clinical colleagues benefit from printed or virtual 3D models for their complex cases. We see the full spectrum of pathology as part of a Level 1 Trauma center and are home to the city?s major cancer center. We also participate in a thriving and growing Lung Cancer Screening Program.
UCMC is making huge investments in medical research. We have a strong basic science division with strength in MRI physics. Research coordinator and biostatistical support for clinical faculty research projects are provided.
This position may offer flexibility for options of fully remote or Hybrid Schedule to include on-site and remote shifts available. Flexible scheduling options available in terms of flexible working hours and flexible days of the week.
Hybrid/remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. Foreign Medical Graduates are welcome. Essential FunctionsDuties will include responsibilities for the clinical, research and teaching activities for our students, residents and fellows.
