Job OverviewThe Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at University of Cincinnati invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funded research project: Metabolic and process engineering of solventogenic clostridia for butanol production from renewable resources. The applicant will collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers (from universities and national laboratories) to develop innovative approaches using bioinformatics tools and bioprocess engineering to identify differential expressions of key genes and proteins in the metabolic and regulatory pathways associated with clostridial life cycle, stress responses, and butanol biosynthesis. The applicant will also have an opportunity to be involved in other DOE and EPA funded research projects. Essential Functions
Required EducationA Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology and Molecular Biology or related disciplines. Required ExperienceDemonstrated expertise in transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics analyses and various pipelines. Additional Qualifications Considered
