About UC Blue AshThe Advising Center within the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UCBA) invites applications for an Academic Advisor. The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio and one of the most diverse colleges at the University of Cincinnati. The college is located on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. We value excellent teaching and personalized student support to help students achieve their goals, whether the goal is to enter a career or to continue education. Job OverviewThis position reports to leadership within the UCBA Advising Center and primarily supports UCBA Allied Health and Pre-Health Professions majors by providing student-centered academic advising. Pre-Health Professions consists of several Selective Admissions Health programs (i.e.: Nursing, Radiologic Imaging Technology, and Dental Hygiene). The role of the advisor includes managing a caseload and monitoring degree audits for accuracy and readiness for selective admissions applications or graduation. Other duties include orienting new students, participating in retention efforts, and working with UCBA faculty and staff to maintain consistent academic program information. This position is a full-time staff position.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the option of up to 2 remote working days per week upon completion of the training period. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. Essential Functions
