Job Summary: | The Wisconsin Athletics Creative Director is responsible for the creative output of the department, including the development and maintenance of a consistent brand identity across all sports and consumer touchpoints. | Responsibilities: | Develops unit strategy, identity, and design standards, supervises staff, provides subject matter expertise consultation to stakeholders, and develops and maintains the unit budget to ensure institutional communications and marketing goals are achieved. - 10% Develops, implements, and maintains work unit identity, design standards, policies, and procedures to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources
- 20% Develops and monitors creative communication plans and dissemination protocols, workflows, and progress measurements to ensure production adheres to unit objectives in alignment with strategic initiatives
- 20% Directs all design work for the unit including research and art direction for in-house and/or freelance creative professionals
- 20% Oversees brand strategy, ensuring consistent brand identity in all materials produced by unit and alignment with institutional brand standards and branding objectives
- 5% Creates, designs, and produces artwork per client specifications through various mediums
- 10% Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison between external and internal stakeholders providing information regarding creative design strategies and representing the interests of the unit
- 10% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- 5% Develops and maintains unit budget(s) and financial records to ensure adherence with institution and rules and regulations
