Posting Number: S05990P Department: Sponsored Programs Administration Salary Range: $60,000 DOQ Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: Under the supervision of the Leadership team of Post Award Management the Grant & Contracts Financial Specialist will be a contributing team member of Post Award Management that performs post-award sponsored program functions associated with the financial administration of awards – award set up through the project closeout. The incumbent for this position is expected to display a high level of professional customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team. This position plays an active role in the processing of sponsored project activities that include reviewing and approving of sponsored projects financial transactions (requisitions, payroll, travel, journals), budget modifications, assisting faculty and staff in project analysis and university forms processing while being cognizant of, and adhering to, all university, sponsor, federal, and state-imposed rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to administering sponsored agreements. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher; One (1) + years of experience in PeopleSoft financial structure, processes and internal controls including reconciliation processes; One (1) + years of working knowledge of invoicing, billing and procurement processes; Ability to explain policies, regulations, statutes, and guidelines to others; Strong computer skills particularly with MS Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat, as well as familiarity working in a database environment; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
