Associate Director - Post Award Financial Management

The Associate Director for Post-Award Financial Management will work with principal investigators and research administration to ensure regulatory compliance, oversee processes, and optimize operations. The responsibilities of the Associate Director include managing staff who are responsible for the post-award financial management of sponsored projects at Nemours. This includes but is not limited to sponsored research awards, subawards, clinical trials, and internal awards. This role will oversee staff assignments, workload assessments and overall workflow within OSP and build staff expertise within the respective operational areas. The Associate Director will assess and monitor on-going education and policy updates as well as sponsor regulations and continuously improve how Nemours may best support the research faculty and team members as well as oversee process improvements and quality assurance within OSP. The role will serve as a liaison to facilitate coordination and compliance with key teams such as research finance, research accounting, research administration, IRB, IACUC, and COI from award set-up to close-out. Sponsors include federal, state & commercial and non-profit entities. Ensures high quality and minimum program costs by implementing and maintaining a quality management program and program metrics.
