Practice Manager, Float - Greater Los Angeles County

Description Reporting to the Regional Clinic Director, the Practice Manager, Float oversees the business and patient care support functions for various community clinics. Responsible for the administrative and budgetary analysis, and coordination of clinical services including primary care and various specialties. Responsibility includes following and adhering to personnel policy and procedure, hiring, and recruiting qualified personnel, and working with the lead physicians, practice managers, Medical Directors, and Vice Chair for Clinical Services to assure an overall effective operation of these practices. Salary Range: $83,800 - $179,400 annually Qualifications Healthcare or ambulatory experience required Previous demonstrated expertise in managing patient’s services and nursing staff Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns and formulate conclusions. Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities. Accounting skills to plan, prepare and analyze complete revenue and expense budgets. Ability to creatively integrate competing demands of a multidisciplinary setting into a productive working environment. Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal settings. Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health. Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems. Working knowledge of University policies and procedures to appropriately manage accounting systems, cashiering, risk management and personnel.
