Advances enrollment goals for the university by providing on-campus tours for prospective students and their families. In consultation with senior staff, establishes strategic vision and operating priorities for the development and delivery of daily private tours, daily group tours, and large-scale campus preview days. Possesses professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs, activities, and/or services, utilizing campus and community resources to maximize opportunities for all campus tour participants and related services to serve those populations. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA); Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5PM with frequent nights and weekends, as work requirements indicate. Essential Duties: 60% Tour Planning and Delivery: Primary organizer for daily private tours, daily group tours, and large-scale campus preview days. Requires inter-departmental and inter-divisional collaboration with entities like Admissions, Academic Advising, Academic Colleges, and Student Affairs. Responsible for continuous communication to the Executive Cabinet, Academic Deans, Enrollment Management Leadership Team, tour participants and their families/guests, and the campus at large. Manages invitation protocols and registration platforms for events. Will operate as chief liaison for external communication with contracts and community partnerships to meet the needs of evolving program offerings. 25% Lead, motivate, supervise, and evaluate departmental staff for the Campus Welcome Center. This includes direct supervision of full-time staff and paid student Tour Guides while they serve as university representatives in critical roles for programs including (but not limited to) daily private tours, daily group tours, Texan Tours, Game Day Tours, and Campus Preview Days. May supervise additional personnel, functional areas, programs, and services as necessary. 5% Fiscal Responsibility: Maintains financial data including monthly budgets and status reports; maintains and monitors budgets for the Campus Welcome Centerâ™s departmental accounts that include both locally funded and revenue accounts; provides leadership and direction over appropriate use of funds; review and prepare departmental budget requests; monitors fiduciary responsibilities associated with fulfilling contractual agreements; share and review budget with professional personnel. 10% Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Preferred Experience: Masterâ™s Degree Seven yearsâ™ experience in Higher Education or applicable field Three years of progressively responsible management experience Background working with university recruitment and/or campus tours Experience developing student leaders and student staff to carry out the departmental mission
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Superior leadership and organizational skills. Demonstrated expertise in building programs in a higher education setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Other Requirements: - Willingness to work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends as dictated by program offerings and other responsibilities
Salary Commensurate with experience  The target base annual salary is $55,777.50 may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
