Description: Position Summary The Controlled Substance Compliance Coordinator ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to non-clinical use of controlled substances by University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) researchers. This role involves building and maintaining a compliance system, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, working with the regulatory agencies on behalf of the institution and registrants, monitoring activities, visiting labs and facilities, providing training and education, maintaining a comprehensive database, and maintaining records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Duties & Responsibilities Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing controlled substances, such as the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR). PTCB Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention Certification.
