JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Important and essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Key Responsibilities: · Leadership and Relationships - Serves as a member of the senior management team and provides input into overall strategic, business, and financial plans.
- Prepares strategic and detailed business plans for building and enhancing the concessions program. Consolidates business plans and budgets for presentation and review by the Chief Revenue Management Officer, the Executive Office, and Board.
- Establishes good working relationships with all OIAA leadership, regulatory representatives, concession management, local governments and any other pertinent organizations with respect to the areas assigned.
- Makes effective verbal and written presentations to the Authority executives, Board of Commissioners and community stakeholders as required.
- Understands complex business, financial and legal provisions of concession agreements and ensuring their compliance.
- Mentor and develop the concessions team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational
- Leads and develops the Concessions Program including food and beverage, retail, and other concessions business and contract service agreements for ONT.
- Establishes processes and procedures for ensuring compliance of concession contracts, leases and other agreements. Regularly assess processes and enhances as needed.
- Monitors and evaluates the Concession Program’s customer service performance and appearance to ensure vendors and service providers meet ONT’s high standards of customer service excellence.
- Oversees the development of concessions’ marketing and promotional programs and partnerships to drive performance.
- Utilizes technology, data analytics, and direct engagement to monitor the business performance of tenants and concessionaires to ensure compliance with ONTs goals and vision.
- Directs the development, drafting, negotiation, and implementation of all business plans and proposals, sponsorship programs, requests for proposals, contracts, leases, and agreements with concessionaires.
- Oversees development and compliance for all concession lease agreements, ensuring that agreements contain key performance indicators, service level agreements, and reflect a governance structure that ensures an optimal, integrated operating model for ONT.
- Oversees industry research to ensure OIAA Concessions requests for proposals, contracts, and operational processes align with industry best practices and concession market conditions.
- Provides community outreach to drive interest in Concessions program offerings and opportunities.
- Financial and Capital Development
- Optimizes revenues in alignment with OIAA vision, goals, and objectives.
- Develops, provides input, and manages the operating and capital improvement budgets for the Concessions Department.
- Directs development of financial pro formas relative to new business proposals.
- Directs the build-out of concession spaces for revenue production, including development of revenue opportunities not customarily found at airports.
- Provides input to capital development plans to ensure proper planning of concession programs for current and future concessions and terminal projects.

- Has experience in airport concession, customer service, airport concessions business negotiation and lease development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position. - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Aviation, Business Consulting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate or other related field.
- Eight (8) years of experience in Airport, concessions management, strategy and planning, or management, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Progressively responsible experience in planning and procuring in-terminal food, beverage, retail and advertising concessions, is required.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATION - Valid Driver's License equivalent to a California Class C Driver's
- Acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout
- Ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain an OIAA employee badge at ONT.

The employment relationship may be terminated at the will of either party upon notice to the other.
