![]() Director of Molecular Pathology Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Position Overview: The salary range for this position is $157,500 - $409,700. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Director of Molecular Pathology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank, in the Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Pathology and will be an operational leader, providing strategic vision and collaborative implementation to enhance the department's Molecular Pathology Division and laboratory testing. Clinical and administrative responsibilities will include medical, technical, and scientific directorship of division staff and laboratory personnel in collaboration with the department Chair and other department section leaders, with the expectations of supervising molecular laboratory operations, participating in test reporting and new test development, while contributing to quality assurance and accreditation activities. Participation in the institution's research/scholarly mission is expected, as a collaborator or as an intellectual leader of clinically oriented research projects, depending on the academic series chosen for appointment. The candidate will have multiple opportunities for collaboration within the UC Davis Health System, including the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the California National Primate Center. Additional academic responsibilities include teaching housestaff and medical students, with participation in interdisciplinary conferences, and curriculum development in subspecialty areas.
