Salary/Pay Range: $95,000 - $98,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking a full-time Assistant Research Professor. The primary job responsibility of this position will be to conduct research on trauma and resilience. Responsibilities will include conducting research, writing research grants, and forming collaborative research partnerships. Additional non-research duties can include providing direct care to clients within the Healing Division at the Institute (not expected to exceed 50% time). The distribution of job duties as far as time devoted to research and clinical-focused activities will be negotiable upon hire and is dependent on availability of gift funds and the level of grant activity of the hire. This is a non-tenure track appointment and is not eligible for, and cannot lead to, the award of tenure.
Salary will be guaranteed for the equivalent of two years, after which the individual will need to secure funding to support their position in the form of extramural funding and/or provision of direct clinical care. The individual who fills this position will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Institute research faculty and affiliates, of which there are currently more than 50, in conducting research related activities. The individual will also have the opportunity, if desired, to work with MA and PhD students from the Clinical Psychology program at UCCS which maintains a trauma track at the MA and PhD levels. All research faculty within the Institute have access to the services of a dedicated Grants Specialist and Research Administrator to assist with the preparing, securing, and administrating of extramural grants. The candidate will also receive start-up funds and relocation funds if necessary.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Research Activities
Conduct programmatic research related to trauma and/or resilience
Obtain external funding to support their own research program
Work with cross-disciplinary faculty in the Institute
Participate in research team meetings, seminars/symposia, and other research activities within the Institute
Clinical Activities
Provide direct clinical services to veterans, first responders, trauma survivors and their families using evidenced-based practices in treatment.
Deliver and document services according to professional practice standards and the policies of the clinic in a timely manner using the systems available (such as Electronic Medical Records and Scheduling).
Participate in Clinical team meetings, staffing, and consultations.
Ensure compliance with clinical research protocols and overall clinical services research objectives.
This position is dependent on the availability of external gift funding. Funding is currently expected to last two years. This position is also dependent on the availability of auxiliary revenues funding.
