Experience preferred in golf course maintenance, or landscape maintenance. Must have the ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Knowledge of commonly used landscape plants and irrigation systems helpful. A valid SC driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment and/or personnel. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. | | Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Must be willing to learn sports field set-up, tear down, and other specific tasks involved with sports field maintenance (watering fields, painting, chalking, mowing patterns, etc.). Must be willing to learn basic irrigation maintenance and to identify plants and insects. Must be reliable and responsible.
