Job Summary: | The School of Medicine and Public Health's (SMPH) Office of Informatics and Information Technology is excited to be adding a new Research Systems Facilitator I to our research applications team! Help support faculty, staff, researchers, and students in a dynamic clinical, academic, and research-focused environment.
The position works across the SMPH enterprise, with a focus on Research Applications and in close collaboration with investigators to ensure high quality research studies. This position will support onboarding of researchers to SMPH research applications across the enterprise.
Ideal candidates will have excellent time management skills and be able to work independently or collaboratively. This position will work on multiple projects and will need to closely track details while looking for ways to improve processes to support groundbreaking research. This project position has the potential to turn into a renewable position. | Responsibilities: | Assists researchers in the onboarding of state-of-the-art cyber infrastructure (CI) systems, tools, and software to enable research productivity. - 25% Assists researchers in their selection and use of relevant CI systems and tools. Helps with routine user issues
- 25% Connects and coordinates the interactions between researchers and technology providers
- 40% Helps review and test documentation and training materials
- 5% Serves as a bridge between researchers, teams and application support problem solving challenges while also implementing solutions that comply with institutional rules and data related regulations
- 5% Promotes appropriate human subjects research and collaborates with customers to ensure they follow the policies to protect the rights and welfare of participants

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location. An on campus location will be provided should a candidate prefer to work partially or fully onsite. | Appointment Type, Duration: | Terminal, 24 month appointment. This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding | Salary: | Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications The starting salary for the position is $65,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
