Position Overview:
As an Advanced Practice Provider in our Neuro ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with severe neurological conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage and treat patients in the Neuro ICU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients in the Neuro ICU.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective patient care.
- Monitor and manage patients’ progress, including interpreting diagnostic tests and making treatment adjustments as necessary.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
- Participate in rounds and contribute to the development of care strategies.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical findings.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or a related field.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with relevant board certification.
- Licensure to practice as an NP or PA in the state of New York.
- Experience in a critical care or Neuro ICU setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex neurological conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaborative team-based care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy.
Salary Range
USD $66.55 - USD $90.00 /Yr.
