PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Physician is responsible for the delivery of patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of medical care to individual patients in a variety of setting including clinic, hospital and nursing facilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education Board Certified/Board Eligible M.D.; D.O. Required License QUALIFICATIONS: Provide superior customer service to all patients, external customers (office staff of other offices, hospital, community agencies, etc.), and co-workers. Serves as an ambassador of the White House Clinics in all conversations and interactions with these parties. Acknowledges that White House Clinics strive to be a patient-centered medical home and, as such, prescribe to team-based delivery of primary care services. Recognizes that the completion of the above listed duties illustrates the employee's role in aforementioned team-based care and accepts responsibility for being an active member of the team, including identification of quality improvement opportunities. Maintains personal compliance with all White House Clinic policies and procedures (OSHA, HIPAA, Standing Orders, etc.) Assists with other duties or in other departments as instructed by supervisor. Cooperate fully with all aspects of Corporate Compliance Plan. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team. ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS: Professionalism Maintain competency and knowledge of current standards of practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards. Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information. Adheres to professional standards, clinic policies and procedures (OSHA, HIPPA, Standing Orders, etc.), federal, state, and local requirements, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), etc. Cooperates fully with all aspects of Corporate Compliance Plan and Standard of Conduct. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team. ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountable to the Medical Director, and ultimately the Executive Director SUPERVISION EXERCISEDNone TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires a variety of physically and mentally demanding activities. Require full use of eyes, ears, and hands. Sitting, some bending, stooping, stretching and lifting (generally not in excess of 75 pounds at a time). Ability to prepare written reports, and use of telephone equipment. Manual dexterity required to perform some duties and medical/surgical procedures. |
