Position Summary The Director of Academic and Staff Personnel for the Division of Undergraduate Education at UCLA manages and provides leadership for the Division's Office of Human Resources in all aspects of academic personnel and staff human resources and payroll activities for approximately 40 academic appointees, 250 staff and a student employee population that varies between 600 to 900 active employees during the fiscal year. The Division of Undergraduate Education is comprised of the following departments and programs which all develop and provide programs and services for UCLA's undergraduate students: Academic Advancement Program, Academic Support-Athletics, College Academic Counseling, Undergraduate Education Initiatives, Honors, New Student and Transition Programs, Scholarship Resource Center, Undergraduate Research Centers, Undergraduate Education Information Technology, and various grant programs. The Director's primary responsibilities include supervising five administrative staff, reviewing all UCPath transactions, ensuring Divisional compliance with all University personnel and payroll policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal labor laws, compensation, and training programs and partnering with the division's management team regarding personnel issues. This position directly reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education. A human resources generalist background along with strong administrative and operational management skills, supervisory experience and a customer service orientation are required for this position. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
