Posted Job Title Clinical Research Coordinator A/B Job Profile Title Clinical Research Coordinator A Job Description Summary The Clinical Research Coordinator A/B position will assist in the management of multiple clinical trials and responsibilities in specific research area. The Clinical Research Coordinator A/B will participate in all phases of subject recruitment, enrollment, and completion of clinical trials in the field of lipoprotein metabolism, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease. Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) filings and inquiries, and assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals, and research related presentations. Works closely with the Principal Investigator, manager, and study team to identify problems and develop solutions. Implement approved changes to procedures as needed and monitor results. Responsible for study coordination for investigator-initiated studies, multi-center research studies, and patient-oriented clinical and translational research projects. Job Description The Clinical Research Coordinator A/B will coordinate Phase I-IV clinical trials or other clinical studies in the field of lipid metabolism, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease. Recruit, consent and screen patients according to protocol. Schedule patient visits and any necessary testing. Monitor patients per protocol requirements and ensure adherence to protocol requirements. Organize and maintain all documentation required by the Investigator, sponsor or CRO, including source documentation, case report forms, and research charts. Collect, review and report study data. Complete case report forms and resolve data queries. Process and ship study specimens including blood and urine. Participate in initiation, monitoring, audit, and close-out visits as well as actively participate in team meetings. Participate in the development of complex documents such as protocols, informed consent forms and questionnaires. Show vigilance in patient safety and protocol compliance. Adhere to all University of Pennsylvania, FDA and GCP guidelines. In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, a Clinical Research Coordinator B is expected to be able to operate with minimal supervision, coordinate more than one study, complete IRB submissions, and, overall, take more of a leadership role in the conduction of the study duties, in the preparation of study documents and during team meetings. ***Contingent upon funding*** Qualifications Effective problem-solving abilities; effective communication and writing skills; strong organizational and time management skills; flexible and able to multi-task, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations. CRC-A Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. CRC-B Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $43,888.00 - $58,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and the pay range assigned to the job profile.
