Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day Shift Monday-Friday Location: Home Location - Altamonte Springs but overseeing Seminole, Orange and Osceola Counties. The role you’ll contribute: The Hospice Administrator is directly responsible for the strategic and innovative direction of the hospice as part of the connected network of care. This position is responsible for the overall financial viability and growth of the agency and ensures the execution of the operations on a day-to-day basis. Acts as an expert on Hospice Care within the system and represents hospice within and outside of the organization. Leads to ensure delivery of exceptional care to patients and financial performance. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. The position reports to The Board of Directors and is directly accountable to the Vice President of Hospice within Primary Health Division. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you’ll bring to the team: - Responsible for strategic growth of Hospice to contribute to overall network expansion within the system (i.e. growth of Average Daily Census, market leadership and development, and future inpatient unit expansions).
- Ensures financial viability of Hospice
- Provides leadership and management to ensure that the Mission and Vision of AdventHealth is integrated throughout the hospice.
- Lead and inspire a high-performance team to meet and/or exceed organizational goals.
- Fosters a growth-oriented, success-driven and accountable culture throughout the hospice
- Oversees the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal governing regulatory statutes, including Centers for Medicare Services, Agency for Health Care Administration and the Office of the Inspector General and other accrediting agencies and government authorities and provides regular reports to the Board for their oversight, review and approval.
- Oversees the development of corporate policies and procedures in order to ensure that the organization meets all local, state, and federal regulations and legal requirements.
- Oversees the organization’s financial metrics, financial accountability, and budgets through assistance of the Director of Finance and provides regular reports to the Board for their oversight, review and approval.
- Develops the annual strategic plan.
- Leads the implementation of the strategic plan to ensure expansion of the connected care network and financial viability.
- Ensures that the implementation of the strategic plan is in harmony with AdventHealth’s mission and values.
- Oversees the coordination of business development/expansion opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Strategic Planning

- Strong knowledge of hospice operations
- Knowledge of advanced business management and nonprofit management practices
Qualifications Education Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent years’ of experience.
Experience Required: - 7 or more years in Healthcare Management or related field
- 3-5 years Previous hospice leadership experience
Education Preferred: - Master’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field.
Experience Preferred: - Previous experience as a hospice administrator.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred: - CHPNA Administrator Certified or CHPN Certified
