Manager Member Communities

As the Manager Member Communities you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage and empower leaders and members to actively participate in and drive the mission of ASSP with a focus on fostering the organizational impact of our practice specialty and common interest group communities, ensuring they deliver meaningful value to our member. This includes providing coaching, tools, training, leadership development, and operational oversight and support to community leaders to help effectively provide value to members in alignment with ASSP’s strategic goals and direction.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to:

• Leads strategy and operations: oversees the strategy, operations, and performance of four common interest groups and 18 practice specialty member communities, including member and leader communications, advisory committee meetings, program execution and reporting, and leadership development
• Supports volunteer development: designs and delivers volunteer leadership training, resources and tools, including online materials, on-demand modules, webinars and Leadership Conference events activities
• Supports attendee experience at annual conference: Develops, implements, and oversees practice specialty and common interest group related events at annual conference
• Facilitates communication: supports Council on Practices and Standards and coordinates the flow of information between communities, the governing council and the Society
• Administers community awards and honors: manages the COPS Awards and Honors Committee and the recognition program for these communities
• Drives engagement metrics: Works with the Membership & Communities management team to create metrics and benchmarks for tracking and enhancing member engagement
• Implements data-driven improvements: Recommends policy and procedural updates based on data to improve community operations and increase member and Society value.
• Collaborates Cross-Functionally: Partners with ASSP departments to provide a cohesive, connected community experience aligned with ASSP’s strategic goals.
• Promotes strong organizational culture: Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by anticipating and addressing member needs
• Supervises Community Operations Coordinator: Provides coaching, conducts performance evaluations, and supports professional development and team engagement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
