Job Description: The Department of History at Le Moyne College invites applications for a non-tenure track one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor with a Latin American history specialization. The position, contingent upon budgetary and administrative approval, has a proposed appointment start date of August 25, 2025. Subfields and specialties are open, though candidates with expertise or teaching interests in Indigenous history and issues of race and/or race relations are particularly encouraged to apply, as are those who have recently completed their Ph.D. Teaching responsibilities include World Civilizations core classes, with a strong emphasis on themes and topics in pre-Columbian and Latin American history. The annual teaching load is seven courses.
Requirements: Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History by the position start date.
