Assistant Vice President -Information Technology Resources POSITION DETAILS Lehman College of The City University of New York seeks an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Information Technology (IT). This role reports to the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for overseeing the day- to-day management and operations of the College's digital environment. The AVP will lead multiple IT teams and serve as the project lead for critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with both Lehman College's and CUNY???s strategic goals. Responsibilities ??? Collaborate with the CIO to develop IT strategies that foster innovation and support institutional priorities, including teaching, learning, research, and administration. ??? Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with the College's strategic goals and maintain coordination with University-wide systems such as CUNYfirst and other enterprise-level projects. ??? Oversee the operational management of a broad portfolio of services, including the following key units: (1) IT Enterprise Application Services, (2) Information Technology Support Services, (3) Academic and Campus Technology Support Services, (3) Multimedia Center & Lehman Studios, and (4) Classroom Technology Support Services. Foster collaboration between these units to ensure seamless operations, efficient service delivery, and alignment with institutional goals. ??? Drive innovation and digital transformation within the College???s technology landscape by implementing Agile processes, incorporating feedback loops, and developing digital products/services in collaboration with various stakeholders. ??? Identify emerging technology opportunities and lead efforts to integrate new digital solutions into the College's systems and processes. ??? Ensure cross-divisional integration of business processes, data, and technology to optimize operational efficiency and drive institutional innovation. ??? Work closely with the Director of Infrastructure Services to coordinate on projects and ensure that all IT systems and infrastructure meet the College???s needs and strategic objectives. ??? Oversee compliance with relevant data privacy, information security, and regulatory standards. Ensure the College's IT environment meets standards for CUNY governance and external audits, including reports such as the CUNY Information Security Attestation and GASB 51. ??? Lead the project management of IT initiatives from conception to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Assist in the development and management of the IT Division???s operating and capital budgets, providing strategic oversight for investments in IT services. ??? Ensure continuous communication and feedback loops between IT units, faculty, staff, and students to assess technology needs and improve services. Provide day-to-day leadership to ensure IT service quality and efficiency, focusing on customer experience, stakeholder engagement, and service level agreements (SLAs). QUALIFICATIONS This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. ??? Bachelor???s degree required; master???s degree in information technology, or a related field is preferred. ??? Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in IT, with a focus on strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership, preferably in higher education environments. ??? Expertise in IT service management, project management (ITIL and PMP certifications preferred), and innovative technology integration. ??? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive strategic decisions. ??? Proven track record in managing complex IT environments. CUNY TITLE Assistant Vice President COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $173,000, Salary commensurate with education and experience.
