Schedule: Full time Shift: Days Location: 1395 S Pinellas Avenue, Tarpon Springs, Florida 34689 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas · Great Culture · Top Quality outcomes · Nurse Excellence Committee (NEC)/Governance · Leadership is accessible · Located on the Gulf of Mexico The role you’ll contribute: The Service Line Coordinator supervises and coordinates patient care delivery on the assigned nursing units and is accountable for meeting standards. The Service Line Coordinator supports the assigned unit by planning, directing, and evaluating all nursing service functions and activities for the assigned patient care specialty to ensure delivery of optimal available quality patient care and organizational effectiveness. The Service Line Coordinator completes concurrent chart audits of assigned areas to ensure charting within the EMR is complete, accurate and specific to the patients’ diagnosis, plan of care and core measures. Ensures that errors and omissions are corrected in a timely manner. Coordinates staff educational needs. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change Provides guidance in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clinical unit. The Service Line Coordinator ensures efficient patient and case flow throughout the shift by continually assessing the progress of cases and the staffing levels. The Service Line Coordinator participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process. Oversees orientation, training and education of new personnel and ongoing staff development. Assists Leadership with unit budget/cost containment and labor The value you’ll bring to the team: · Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently. · Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling. · Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities. · Must be able to use all EMR systems as required on unit. · Specific knowledge and skills as delineated by the unit of employment The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: · Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing · Associate’s degree Diploma in Nursing · Current valid Florida State Board of Nursing Registered Professional Nurse license · Minimum of two years Perioperative nursing experience. · BLS required per department standards
