- Provides leadership and oversight of all information technology for the REGARDS study, a multi-million-dollar 20+ year cohort study with 30,000 participants, 40 employees, and millions of dollars in research contract funding
- Designs, develops and manages participant database system known as SPIRIT 2.0
- Plans, organizes and directs all areas of information technology services and works with UAB IT to ensure systems and current business practices align
- Troubleshoots issues with existing applications and oversees enhancements when necessary
- Researches, develops, plans, tests and implements new system functionality and applications
- Works with IT on issues, testing, upgrades and various initiatives including security, email and data storage
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience is required. Work may NOT substitute for education requirement
