Department Name: H3075:Nutritions Services Job Summary: Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and implementation of the nutrition care plan for patients. Provides education and counseling to patients on their nutritional needs. Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Performs duties in compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. Serves as a nutrition educator for students, medical staff, health professionals, and/or general public. Serves as a role model, resource, and leader for other clinical dietitians. Exhibits nutrition expertise in specified area of practice. This position is located in Chandler caring for Cardiology patients. Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: The skills required for this position are strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as technical, counseling, time management, computer, and critical/analytical thinking and understanding capabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently; prioritize and delegate; set and meet deadlines; problem-solve; is flexible and adaptive to change; customer service-focused; and facilitates learning and provides constructive feedback. Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: BA Required Related Experience: No experience required. Required License/Registration/Certification : Registered Dietitian and Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists within 6 months of hire. Preferred Education/Experience: Clinical nutrition experience in an acute care setting preferred. If candidate is not already registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists, they must obtain and provide proof of registration and licensure within 6 months of hire. Failure to do so will result in separation from employment.
