Description
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Real Estate | Planning, Design, and Construction team completes projects on-time and on-budget for the UCLA Health System. Your role will focus on overseeing design and construction project management within the Hospitals and Medical Office Buildings throughout Los Angeles County. Primary duties include:
· Develop and manage project budgets, work scopes, and schedules.
· Hire architectural, engineering and consultant firms to develop project requirements, design criteria, space plans, and detailed drawings.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, HCAI, NFPA, California Building Codes).
· Execute bid for construction or negotiate construction contracts.
· Administer and manage all technical and administrative aspects of construction projects.
· Lead and coordinate physical relocation planning with outside vendors and UCLA internal departments.
· Formulate and develop the project furniture, fixtures, and equipment program by meeting with clients, vendors and manufacturers.
· Address project delays or disruptions and ensure timely completion within guidelines.
· Use sound judgment in planning and problem-solving to ensure safety in healthcare settings.
· Maintain strong communication and collaboration with project teams, including Facilities, IT, and clinical personnel.

The full annual salary range for this position is $92,600.00 - $202,200.00. Please note - the department’s target pay range is $96,000 - $136,000.00.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training. • 3+ years’ professional experience in architecture, engineering or construction. • Experience leading project teams and coordinating with various stakeholders. • Experience with large-scale relocation activities. • Knowledge of building codes, and accessibility regulations. • Familiarity with California Building Code, Title 22, and HCAI (OSHPD) requirements. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CAD, and Bluebeam. • Strong mathematical and accounting skills to prepare and monitor budgets.
