Description: Position Summary Reporting directly to the Patient Care Director, PEDS/PICU Unit, the Extra Help Customer Service Representative will perform Intermediate level customer service functions under general supervision within their unit. This includes greeting patients, answering/routing telephone calls, ordering supplies and other administrative/customer service duties. This position will float between Pediatrics, Pediatrics ICU, and Neonatal ICU units. Duties & Responsibilities Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Inpatient Hospital Receptionist or Customer Service Representative experience. 2. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. 3. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. 4. Knowledge of clerical and office procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheet software, managing files and records, designing forms, and managing inventory. 5. Skill in understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. 6. Skill in managing one's own time and the time of others. 7. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. 8. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
