The Board of Directors of Swisher Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“SEC”), located in Tulia, Texas is now seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the duties of General Manager of the Cooperative.  

SEC serves all, or part of, six counties in the Texas Panhandle with  approximately 8,000 meters over 3,700 miles of line in farming and ranching country serving, around 1,455 members.  Irrigation and commercial are the two primary loads.  The General Manager will supervise and direct approximately 40 dedicated employees, with direction and support from a seven member board of directors.  

SEC provides the R.S. retirement plan, a  401K pension plan, and a health insurance plan through NRECA.  Salary and other compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.    

Prior experience in the electric utility industry, especially rural distribution electrification, will be preferred.  The successful candidate will be well versed in, and demonstrate a strong commitment to, cooperative principles.  Please send resumes, and any other pertinent information, to be received no later than Monday, December 16, 2024.
