The University of Southern California (USC) Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a eDiscovery Analyst with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join our team. As the eDiscovery Analyst you will be an integral member of the Security Operations team of the Office of the CISO while reporting to the leader of eDiscovery. This is a full-time exempt position, eligible all of USCs fantastic Benefits + Perks. This opportunity is primarily onsite, with some hybrid flexibility aligned with business needs. Due to federal requirements, this role is not eligible for sponsorship. The eDiscovery Analyst works in a hands-on capacity to search, preserve and collect electronically stored data in varied university repositories. Additionally, the eDiscovery Analyst serves as a technical resource for the systems used to gather, identify and maintain custodial data used in litigation and compliance matters. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. #LI-TV1 Minimum Education: Bachelor's degreeMinimum Experience: 2 yearsMinimum Skills: Two years experience with electronic discovery.Demonstrated understanding of ediscovery data management systems and expertise working with e-discovery tools (e.g., Relativity, EnCase).Experience working and communicating with and taking direction from legal staff.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a high level of discretion for dealing with sensitive, confidential information.Experience with forensic collections.Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Ability to teach/train others.Preferred Experience: 4 yearsPreferred Skills: Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.Four or more years experience in data processing and analytics.Certified E-Discovery Specialist, Relativity Certified Administrator, or other relevant certifications.Working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and regular expressions (regex) for use in building custom queries.Experience with scripting (e.g., SQL, PERL, Python).
