JOB DESCRIPTION USC Athletics is looking to hire an Academic Advisor for Football and Womens Crew (Student Services Advisor II). Reporting to the Director ofAcademic Advising, this position will provide academic advising, planning and other support for assigned football and womens crew student-athletes in areas of course selection, registration procedures, degree requirements, and career goals. Successful candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and extensive knowledge and application of NCAA rules and related academic tracking technology(i.e. Teamworks, DARS).This individual will also be required to maintain detailed student progress records, communicate regularly with supervisors and appropriate football and womens crew staff, and have the ability to work autonomously while maintaining cooperative working relationships. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are a necessity. Candidates will be part of the Football Advising Team. This position serves a diverse student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for historically under-served populations, and is expected to contribute to the programs diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. Hourly Range: The hourly rate range for this position is $33.34 - $36.06.
