Recruitment Range: $65,000 - $70,000 Vacancy Number: E1277 Competency Level: Home Department: Center for Academic Advising - 30120 Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit: The Assistant Director of Advising Operations and Training (ADTR) in the Center for Academic Advising (CAA) is part of a collaborative team promoting student success through transitional support programs and advising efforts supporting holistic student development. Reporting to the Director in the Center for Academic Advising, the Assistant Director of Advising Operations and Training serves as the primary leader for training and onboarding throughout the Center for Academic Advising. The ADTR assumes responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of the Center for Academic Advising's practices and training (initial and ongoing) for all professional and faculty academic advisors working in the Center for Academic Advising. This work includes a comprehensive approach to managing curriculum changes that impact CAA advisors and conveying the needed information in a timely manner. In addition, the ADTR provides unit level management of caseload assignment and reassignment. This work involves effective communication, collaboration, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including Academic Departments, the University Learning Center, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of the Assistant Provost for Academic Advising (OAPAA), OAPAA Business Office, and CAA team members. The ADTR will support the advising services delivered in the Center for Academic Advising by providing coordinating initial and ongoing training for advisors, manage the pre-professional (pre-health and pre-law) advising practices, serve on assigned task forces or committees, and providing direct advising services as needed to support the mission of the Center for Academic Advising.
