Available Title(s): 591K-YN_CS_NPS - Grounds & Nursery Services Specialist 3 Business Title: Grounds and Nursery Specialist 3 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Grounds and Nursery Specialist 3 will perform and lead assigned personnel in a variety of skilled duties to maintain safe, clean and attractive grounds on the WSU Spokane Campus. Additionally, the incumbent will perform and lead assigned personnel in working with irrigation systems including installation, operation, and maintenance of the computerized irrigation systems. Other duties include, but are not limited to: perform and lead assigned personnel in grounds equipment maintenance, surplus inventory collection and storage, operation and maintenance of a variety of motorized grounds equipment and tools and snow removal. This position will also perform and lead assigned personnel in areas of plant and tree health, inspecting for disease or pest damage, and make recommendations in the removal and replacement of plants and trees that are unhealthy. Required Qualifications: High school or equivalent and at least two (2) years experience working with youth, gardening, or in grounds maintenance; OR equivalent education/experience. Additional Requirements:
